Talking to reporters after attending a tribal jirga at Hayatabad in Peshawar, he said that tribal people should be given a free hand to decide about their future, instead of imposing any forced policy upon them.
Criticising the ruling coalition, the Maulana said that it had neither been successful in enforcing foreign agenda nor had it come up to the expectations of the masses.
"Everybody is trying to appease the United States and its supporters, but nothing serious was being done to resolve key national issues, easing people's miseries, particularly the situation prevailing in the tribal region," he maintained.
Flanked by Opposition Leader in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Akram Khan Durrani and JUI-F's information secretary Haji Jalil Jan, Maulana Fazl said that more than 4,000 tribal elders had participated in the jirga.
He said that participants of the jirga had unanimously endorsed recommendations presented in the last meeting held on November 19.
The JUI-F chief also said that the jirga will be named a 'Numainda Jirga' (representative council), adding that the jirga would decide about the political future of tribesmen, binding them (tribesmen) to follow its decisions.
